Lol I have an original 60GB one too, bought on day one. One day it started smoking. I opened it, dismantled it piece by piece, cleaned every part, replaced the thermal paste on CPU and GPU and now it still works like a charm :D

So far I still have not had the invisible Fate boss issue that others are having on PS3 but with the time Ive spent playing PS4 at E3 and PAX i dont think it will be an issue....hopefully lol

Sony has told that all the cross over games that are bought on ps3 can be bought to ps4 for very cheaper price (i dont remember if it was only digital versions)

And the games that dont need ps+ on ps4 is free to play games.

Wait til you get to the Coerlas fates. That's where it mostly happens. Sometimes with Cancer even too.
