he is talking about end game gear... (starting with your lvl 45 AF gear and than darklight and so on...) they have ONLY mind and no int... while the equip u use right now have both mind and int... that's why u see them on the same lvl... once u get to those gear u will have 100+ point of difference only from gear between the 2 stat... than add the stat bonus from sch that scales with lvl (with mind primary and int lower) and u will find that the switch is no more any good...

If youre a scholar and a book with pure int drops, you cant need on it. You can greed, and gladiators ALWAYS win the greed rolls. And yes, going scholar gives you a huge boost to your mind stat passively. And youre level 39, so you havent noticed that theres a lot of PURE mind items out there that doesnt have int.

Short version I have gathered from this thread with the fluff cut out, cleric stance should work as intended. If you want to DPS a little put it on and let your INT skyrocket while eating that healing debuff and loss of MND and then pop back out of it to heal again.

I don't really see the point in stacking int then using cleric stand to heal. Your gimping your heals and gaining marginal DPS abilities.

Where the way its meant to be used your maximizing your DPS in stance, and Maximizing your heal out of stance. Correct me if I am wrong!

Speaking from a White Mage perspective, Cleric's Stance is like bane of healing. There are times where I think I've turned it off and will start healing, noticing people won't get anywhere as much HP as I think they should. Then realize Cleric's Stance never deactivated. So the gap in Mind vs. Intelligence is great, but the 10% damage bonus and the 20% healing penalty make a large impact later as well.

e.g. Level 50, Stone II does 280 damage without Cleric's Stance. With Cleric's Stance, it does 380 damage (roughly 35% damage boost).
Wasn't paying attention to the number on the heal, only to know, it wasn't sufficient to heal in a boss fight with it on (Stoneskin on the tank howe'er)...
