    Cleric Stance

Ok so I'm asking this to the people who crunch the numbers and do all that extra math stuff to help us others out. Seeing as how the arcanist gets a lot of int from passive traits while leveling up, if you put all your points in int and then used cleric stance would the int --> mind outweigh the negative healing aspect that cleric stance generates? Because if it does then that's what I'm gonna go with.

20% decrease in heals might be less significant than the gain in all that int you spent ur points on going to mind in cleric stance. Please help me with the math! Again I haven't started my scholar so I'm unsure about how this is all affected, I heard that the scholar crystal you get adds a lot of mind as well so this could just be a silly questions overall.

    Thanks for any input.

Now this is nothing more than anecdotal evidence and not the raw number crunching you were looking for but I messed around with cleric stance a little after getting scholar. One thing I noticed was that I was getting almost the same numbers for heals (cleric stance on: 200 hp heal; cleric stance off: ~220 hp heal) but this is definitely some to seriously consider.

The thing that worries me about using cleric stance is how will that affect the Adloquium shield.

I'll be doing more testing possibly this weekend.

I'm really interested in others experiences with this.

Thanks, that's exactly the type of info I've been looking for. If for some reason the difference isn't significant it could alleviate all our issues with playing both summoner and scholar and figuring out how to distribute the attribute points.

The 20 pt difference may not seem like much at level 32,which is what I see you are now, so have to wonder how much more substantial the disparity is as you level.

I'm thinking late game you won't have enough int to turn into mind that will be effective against the 20% reduction in healing. Now I could be wrong of course, I haven't leveled my Arcanist that high yet either. Also as Kalagg stated going from a 200 heal to a 220 isn't significant early on, but the gap will continue to increase as you level up I believe. Although I do have a 50 Scholar in my linkshell, next time he's on, I'll ask him to cast his heals with and without Cleric Stance being on, see if we can't get you some numbers.

Late game, when you start getting specialized MND gear, because you're a healer, those points you have in INT won't matter. When you're just leveling a lot of the mage gear has both stats but from Darklight gear on you won't find INT on stuff you can use and will end up with your MND well over 100 higher than your INT.

More information that will help with this are his stats. When I get the chance I'll post my level, all of my stats and the numbers I am seeing with and without cleric stance on for the heals. We will also want to test the damage numbers we get with and without cleric stance on to see if it helps at all.

In addition to getting more Mind on your gear as Zetonegi notes, equipping the Scholar crystal increases your Mind stat by quite a bit to the point where you have much more Mind than Intellect. So using Cleric Stance for anything other than dpsing on a SCH is not going to be of any benefit.

Plus, you wont get to need on items without mind. So all of them nice int bookies you see dropping about will go to gladiators and bards.

    Just sayin'

I hope you mean ACN/SMN and THM/BLM. GLD and BRD use VIT and DEX respectively.

As for SCH MND being much higher than INT that is not true. I have about equal attribute points and about equal MND and INT as a SCH which is good because the higher INT does help with MP from Energy Drain.
