I don't leave until someone else does. That way I don't have timer lock out.

I had a drunk BRD in brayflox before telling me I cannot tank as Warrior. I was like what's your deal, turned out he was drinking sake.... Another time, I have a GLD (yes, not PLD) tanking the final boss that keeps losing aggro to me, a MNK and our healer cause he was spamming rage of halone alone without going through fast blade and salvage blade.

yes I had a few like this. some think they are the one which is fine and good most of the time they will teach the ropes and not complain. on the other hand the guys with the I have the biggest gonads complex... do what I say...scream and yell... you definitely want them to leave because then its not fun and that's not what we want.

I've encountered a few funny ragequit moments from randoms I played with in dungeons.
The first guy ragequitted because he never got the pink item loot.
The second guy ragequitted after the Tank died because our healer didn't heal him in time.
Gotta love the angry kids and adults on this game.

Only time I experienced a ragequit was in Tam-Tara. Apparently the healer got tired of running around with 2-3 adds on his ass while the tank was busy trying to DPS the boss. The tank then ragequit when we told him why the healer quit. The third guy got bored while we waited for new folks to show up so I was left alone in that tomb. It's a dark and scary place, so I ended up leaving and rejoining the DF. Got in about 45 minutes later with a MUCH better group.

What is the "nail mechnic?" am interested to know thanks for all of the great posts very informative and sorry some people are not good team plaeyrs.
-
The nail mechanics for Ifrit is that when he drops it, you better kill it or he'll instant kill your group with his Eruptions. Same as Titan's Heart mechanics.

OK thanks havent been to those yet so it helps to know what to keep an eye out for appreciate that.

The Duty finder is a nearly completely anonymous way to get a group since it adds people across different worlds. Because of this, most people can pretty much do what they want without consequence. If this attitude was this way on a single server, the jerk would be blacklisted and avoided by numerous people and would have a bad reputation.
I'm from Leviathan and so far the only jerks I have seen are the ones who publicly berate and call out people for advertising their Free Company and then blacklist them. But otherwise, as far as dungeon runs, Leviathan folk are pretty patient and willing to adapt if things don't go quite right.
If I'm doing something, normally a boss, I usually need to fail once to understand fully how the boss works and then I can tank it and avoid any special abilities the next time, such as the Brayflox Dragon or Titan. So if anyone gets paired up with me in a Duty Finder, I won't ditch you or yell at anyone. XD
