Oh I agree it will make designing future content easier but as of right now the only thing it has done was put a damper on larger LS's that like to host large scale events. It hasn't really made anything more challenging. Behests are easy, NMs where easy pre patch with only 8, they are for the most part even easier now. I would say a majority of parties pre-patch where not exceeding 8 for leve/sp parties to begin with.
I'm pretty sure SE will add alliances to the game, it really is only logical to do so. We have adjusted just like everyone else.
I liked having the ability to kill a bit exp/sp to add a 9th or 10th friend that needs a group...
In my mind (which is a wonderful place to be), It seems that GB didn't really get more difficult to take down, but you gotta be a bit more spot on with your BRs and party balancing in order to break its horn. Haughtpox seems about the same to me, and Dodore is a lot easier.
But, they were all pretty easy to begin with, so take that for what it's worth.
Overall, I like the reduced party size. Hopefully SE adds alliance/raid functionality soon.
I'm a fan of the cap being set to 8 people... It's easier to manage and get a group together, as well as makes battles more key when it comes to strategy (no need for 5 healers constantly spamming cure - or whatever else).
However, I hope that content comes out down the line that allows players to form alliances. But for the time being, I hope they really work on great dungeons, raids, bosses, etc built around the 4/8 man parties. :)
I like em, I always thought 15 people was too much.
