So much this. It's absolutely ridiculous having to fight with level 50's for crafting material. There needs to be a better system in place than a chance at claiming a mob and a chance at a drop.

This was really useful ta =)
Which leves offer them as a reward? I looked at the 20 and below Weaving leves (which according to another forum post online was supposed to have Diremite Web as a reward), but it was only for lightning shards. Most of the leves were for lightning shards.
The quest is called "The Telltale Tress" though it seems the reward is rather random. I did this quest a few times this morning on my lvl 23 Weaver. First two times I did this, I got 10 diremite webs per each turn-in. Third time though, it showed 12 Wind Shard as a reward. I did not pick it up that time. And later when I went back, diremite web was available as a reward again.
I'm also only seeing shards on any leves I look at. Bad luck I guess. I need ~120 more diremite web.. Is there anywhere else to get this material besides north shroud, leves, that one dungeon, or that one quest that spawns mobs that drop them (I already completed it ><)? I go to north shroud at off peak hours and there are 2-7 people farming constantly... I really don't want to have to grind through these levels using stack upon stack of cotton bolls/spend all my leves.
I know there are probably other materials that are going to be as grindy as this one and that makes me a sad panda. I was having a lot of fun being self reliable at crafting - gathering all my materials without having to deal with the stress of other player competition - I usually dislike crafting in mmos because of this. Fun level has plummeted because of this though. :/ I'm begging for more info on mobs that drop this elsewhere.
bump.. the amount of mobs that drop these is just absurd please add more mobs or some other way to obtain them
Bump need more mobs.
This really needs some attention ASAP. I've crafted in many games, this is probably one of the most absurd bottlenecks I have ever seen. Bumping for more recognition.
