Main Scenario [Spoilers?]

You can be 100% certain that everyone that finished the storyline at this point, is a legacy player like myself.
I actually did the storyline using my level 15 Marauder and used him all the way up to the level 40 storyline quests. Before I switched to my lvl 50 PLD. To do the rest.

It's only possible to finish it this quickly if you:
- Have a level 50. You basically skip all the other sidequests
- Focus only on the storyline quests.
- Be lucky with the Duty finder. As a tank I got 9 out of 10 times instant acces to instances and battles

And trust me, being as fast as everyone isn't really beneficial as I had to wait for +30 mins as a Tank for the last 3 eight-people instances. Considering that only a small group was that far across all servers.

I agree, if you spam the whole story line with a level 50 job/class the quests from lil ifrit to lil garuda really are boring. On the other hand, from a new player perspective or if you're doing the main scenario on a class/job that can get exp, the amount of exp you get from the quests of the main scenario storyline is golden.

Aside from the exp, the quests really give you a sense of the world. Gridania, Ul'dah and Limsa didn't make it through the Calamity unscathed, and it shows. Pre-Ifrit the game is basically telling you that these are not the best of times with a national flavor depending on which city state you chose to start in. You also (rightfully) start out as a nobody with potential to become a hero of the realm.
