VERY well done interview, Abriael! You asked pretty much all the right questions. Also, the info I read about city state vs city state got my blood pumping! I'm super-excited right now!
Also, whoa. You weren't kidding when you said you were in the business. An interview with Yoshi!?
Much props, Ab. Much props.
Haha thanks. According to a commenter they're "uninteresting questions from a fanboy".
Guess what it takes to be "not a fanboy" nowadays. Oh well... :D
Yeah, also my Japanese isn't nearly good enough to be able to play in a Japanese-only server without feeling estranged. A serverless approach would solve the problem so I'm hoping for it.
Really liked the question about the Servers, nice to hear that there is a possibility in future, but i'd like to have that asap, new generation MMO starting from GW2 and now TESO will have this feature.. Imho this will stop the conflict berween player who want regional servers and who don't :)
Don't count on it lol, I tried proposing it long ago. It just started the conflict between those that like it and those that think that such a setup would somehow single handedly destroy the community for some mysterious reason.
'Cause having more people to socialize with is obviously bad for the community 'rite?
The reason i don't want it at start is because of leaderboard. I have to do some servers vs servers in PVP and stuff. But at the end does not really matter it wont make ARR any less from TESO for not having it. Yoshi-p seem to be doing it right making sure he can support things later on from day one so there no issue. So they don't have to tell there player base sorry we did not plan this right so we can support it our bad lol.
As long as there support we get it one day.
That brings up a good question. If we know people on another server, will we be able to message (in-game) and coordinate with them to play cross-server content together? Duty-finder will show us who wants to play "now", but it would much more useful if we could pro-actively ask friends (or new friends we met in previous duty-finder content).
Oops, that just made me think of a question about cross-server friends lists, etc. I better stop.
