I'm not sure I like the Levequest mobs just spawning right in front of you and attacking automatically. Makes it hard to pace yourself and heal up if they constantly spawn and aggro you immeadiately. However I do like how it's completely streamlined. All the running around is pretty much gone! It's just run out to the Leve location and kill, warp to Leve NPC and pickup reward!
I do admit the animations looked a little jerky, but it was nice to see the mob reacting to all the hits it was taking! I suppose it needs to be toned down just a tad. I was looking like the mob was having a seizure. :P However, if you was getting whacked from all sides like that you would probably look like that too!
I'm liking how levequest "counters" are now an NPC on the field. No longer will you waste anima (or w/e they're replacing Anima with if they are going to) to do leves (mostly for gathering leves)
Also: Will mobs like Adamantoise and Iron Giant be part of F.A.T.E.?

I don't know about you, but when I played XI I got a lot more excited about the weapon skills I used than the auto attacks. By that logic, combat should be a lot more exciting if the player is able to execute weapon skills more rapidly. It isn't like we'll be able to spam weapon skills infinitely. We only get 1000 TP after all, and it looks like it doesn't regen all that quickly in combat.
Surprised no one's mentioned it, but hey! Did you notice the ARC has a ranged auto-attack?
