Theres no reason to believe that Playstation Plus would ever be required as if you look at Dust 514 Beta everyone who played EVE online got a Beta code.

Yoshi already said (I think in the live letter 3) that PS3 beta test don't start in the same time like the PC beta start, but during the PC beta. They want to fix first most server bugs before they bring the PS3 players to the beta.

I've dropped like, 100 dollars over the course of two years for PS+ and I have more games downloaded (for 'free') than I've ever owned in my life. Also, themes, avatars, ridiculousness. At least try out the short term subscription.. I think it's 3 months for a little less than what FFXIV would have cost. :)

Hmmm... I think PS+ users should at least have FFXIV F2P. In fact, maybe *only* PS+ subscribers should be able to play. That would keep out all the bad players. Oh wait I'm a bad player.

SO what about me as a legacy and ps+ subscriber, should I get it f2p with my legacy benefits? it would make a lot of trolling, everyone should pay to play.

Sony does not require beta users to be playstation plus subscribed.. I am currently testing 2 closed beta games right now and have never subbed to ps+ . It might be something that the game developers have chose to limit how many people can gain access to the beta or something, I don't know.. but I do know for a fact it is not a requirement if I am testing 2 right now.

Hmm... what? I don't see a relation between PS+ and my stance on FFXIV having a subscription. I'm not actually getting anything for free. PS+ is pretty much a subscription service itself, comparable to Netflix. Once I stop paying for the service, I lose access to all of my PS+ content. I imagine PS+ is giving some kind of compensation to the games that are available under it's service. Aren't these two entirely different subjects?

I don't agree with FFXIV being F2P for anyone. ._.
I think a cool idea is: offer a free download with a trial, then at the end of the trial let users digitally purchase the game and get their month free, then subscribe if they want later on. I liked that a lot when XI did it for PC.

I don't know if you're a bad player or not. I don't really know what a qualifies a player as bad. As long as they aren't RMT, I think players of all caliber and skill should play FFXIV.

(I didn't bash anyone for their ideas; well, not this idea.)

The FF13 code would give you a 100% Beta invite for PS3 Not the PC version

Considering there's hardly any info regarding the beta I wouldn't bet on 100% anything. There's forum posts from 2009 saying they got into the 2010 14 beta with the 13 key.

The FF13 key is for PS3 invite it was a promise the old team made but it never happen to due to what happen. Yoshi-p is keeping that promise and he said it not to long ago that what it's for.

People got into Beta by many ways i remember i got mines eorzeapedia.com and many fan site was also giving beta key so who every said they got into beta with 13key does not know what there talking about that a fact that 13 key give you beta key for PS3 you could only get the FF13 item code from the PS3 version of FF13 only why would that give you access to ffxiv for pc version.

I got into the 1.0 alpha by signing up, the specs I put in were actually lower than required and they let me in.
