This is all me, but I took it as that the ones to cage Bahamut in the first place were the 12. I'm not sure why were they unable to do it again if that was the case though.

At the end when he ported us the symbol of Althyk flashed for a moment, Im sure its because he is the god of space and time but Lou seems to have some sort of connection with the twelve as a whole and not just his patron Diety.
And I hope he didnt actually die, I would miss that old man.
Not sure if Dalamud was Bahamuts cage or if the dragon was Dalamud. But I def thought Bahamut when I saw it. That is after I got over the shock of seeing our cities go kaboom.
Beautiful cinematic, very well done. And now at least we know where the crystal tower comes from. I assume that its the piece of Dalamud that fell
I wonder about the other Archons because they used their own Aether to summon them.
Also, trying to dig up the vague Bahamut foreshadow from the Aurum Vale sidequest.
The Empire has been destroying primals for years - returning aether that they would have been consuming back into the system, which was then routed and fed to Dalamud by Van Darnus.
We've been feeding the thing aether this entire time, it's not surprising whatever was in it would be pretty powerful by the time we got to this point - I'd figured it was Odin. Feels stupid now - Van Darnus USED MEGAFLARE. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. #blindasabat
Crystal Tower however has been under Mor Dhona the entire time - it's the tomb of the Allag emperor.
i dont think we were ported to the future but maybe it kinda reminds me a little bit of ff11 wings of the goddess exp maybe we went to the past?????
Maybe the seal didn't work because the world's aether was drained by the avatars and the avatars were drained by dalamud?
Thus making the 12 weaker and Bahamut stronger?
Could the twelve Gods we've been praying to actually turn out to be Lesser Primals such as Ifrit, Garuda,Titan etc with Bahamut being the major Primal?
