You had to have registered before the date stated to get Legacy. And as one of the previous posters mentioned, they've been advertising the Legacy campaign for months.
If you and your friend don't want to play 2.0 because you missed Legacy, then well, your loss?
5$ extra isn't that much, unless you're playing a lot of other P2P games as well. And refusing to play a game simply because you don't have the bonuses (which is really just an exclusive chocobo) is pretty silly to be honest.

The legacy program was created to recognize those players that stuck with the game in its time of peril. If you didn't pay to play during that time, for the stated amount of time, then you're SOL, plain and simple. My sympathy for those who turned their subscriptions on at the last minute and didn't really play and ended up missing their chance is limited.

Also, as above, your interest in playing being purely contingent on getting some kind of exclusive toy is pretty pathetic and shows that you weren't really interested in playing to begin with.

I have Legacy and you don't! I guess that makes me better then you. That's what you get for not spending extra money on a terrible game.

Ya sorry your out of luck and if you not going to play FFXIV 2.0 because you have to pay 3 or 5$ more then it seem you did not want to play FFXIV to start with like other have said. The point of legacy if for us players who pay for a bad game and keep playing it,.

I think legacy status should have been only given to people who paid since the beginning of Jan 2012...
Would give more meaning to the word "legacy" and would cut down the people who feel mistreated because they can't get the legacy status when they wake up too late to realize the ship has sailed...

If they wanted to make a profit, it'd have to be at the very least the price of the game purchase (let's say $30, as the price went down a lot, but it could have been bought cheaper at some point.) plus the cost of three months of basic membership.

So possibly more than $60.00, depending on how much profit they want to make, and it would basically pay for itself in savings after about one or two years.

Seriously, this isn't the first thread like this and the outcome is the same each time: you missed your chance, tough luck. The information has been up for MONTHS. If you had visited The Lodestone just once during the year, you would have seen it, it was pinned on top of the website menu and news for god knows how long.

To me, you just sound like "hey I heard u were givin out free stuff so I came back to get some". Sorry. Doesn't work that way.
