Not thrilled about Crafting changes…

It seems like the new crafting mini game is centered around CP now. I'm guessing CP management becomes more complex later on.

I don't think the current crafting PROCESS is going anywhere. You won't be able to automate the production of high difficulty items most likely, so you'll still need to do it.

I understand your concern OP. I am a bit worried as to what is going to happen with crafting as well. I enjoy crafting and understand its much more than just pressing enter over and over. Knowing when and how to use the right abilities, understanding the colors, calculating how much durability you have vs. your progress...Its much more complex and can be much more rewarding than many people realize.

I have high hopes the new system will be as good if not better than the current system we have now. I do not think SE would forget about the people who love crafting. ^^

Seems to be a bunch of whining based on nothing. The minigame is still there if the video shown is any indication, so not really seeing where you get the idea it's being abolished.

We can only hope! I've not seen the video, just going by the description. So hope I didn't jump the gun. Although I do like to see the discussion, but it appears to fall into the same two camps: crafting fun; crafting sucks.

CP just seems like it's going to replace durability, honestly.

Watching the video, can't help but notice there's a a green and a yellow progress bar. Green appears to be what our current progress bar is...but what of the yellow one, I don't know.

Quality...

I all for changes/ improvements/ innovations but how simple is too simple vs going through the motions and calling it "work" instead of "play" when thinking to craft/ gather. When it came to gathering, I got from lv.15~20 in less than 2 hours and that's all because I wanted to meld... but I also needed to supply myself with Catalyst. So Getting the ability to find Dark Matter and Catalyst was rewarding and cool. I don't want to say goodbye to the mini-games /sigh.

Will this open doors to botting and RMT?

Instead of making it work, it sound like it'll be more fun.
This gathering and crafting, individual satisfaction I hope it is, uhum, uhum!
