how do you get to the conclusion that we'll have 10 job skills in ARR? it does look like that there still be the restriction of 5 skills. (ok taking into account that lv 50 is not going to be the end cap forever).
the most i am afraid of is if the pets of the summoner job are really going to be permant pets which are walking along with you or if they are going to be just an other version of animated attack spells.
The 5 skill per job is confirmed? They can change that for 2.0.
Seems like a lot of guess work and assumptions from just looking at some concept art. No reason that the 5 placement cap will be anyway similar, for 1 the reason the cap I assume was put in place was for it to fit in the action bar, but since we can fill the action bar with macros and items and the like, it's not working the same in ARR. I wouldn't worry until after we have seen some facts.
Exactly. It is far too early, and we have much too little information for getting this worked up over anything. As for the "5 ability limit," it has already been stated that we will be getting far more abilities in 2.0. Also, just because summoner will start with 4 basic summons, what makes you think it will remain that way? That may be the only number of starting primals, with more being released in future expansions. I would wait until we have something more concrete to go on before getting worked up over this.
They are remaking the game, maybe it wont be 5 skill restriction anymore?
You based this thread almost entirely on assumptions.

Maybe they're making an all new mechanic where "Summon" is just one skill, and you select which essence you want to summon in a sub-menu.
You are thinking of the job mechanics within the boundaries of the current mechanics. In 2.0 they will be able to change (and maybe already have changed) those mechanics to have more individuality between jobs.
