And they're not the kinds of people who post in newbie threads anyway so I don't see the problem.

it would be nice if we could change our nicknames
I say let Dalamud do it's work to these forums! A fresh start wouldn't hurt!
This is a fairly pointless restriction, so I'm glad you have no plans to implement this. I kind of get why they would ask for this: to prevent people with lv1 alts from trolling threads and so on. Of course, that can't really work here due to our using aliases rather than our character names to post on the forums.
This.
Though I would appreciate advance notice so that I can store/cache/whatever the important stuff like the RDM Design thread as well as the vanity slots thread.
PS: I'd like PM's and the ability to put links in our signatures to become available to us once 2.0 hits. That way I don't have to rely on tiny url or shamelessly linking stuff like this to get a point across.
Maybe old posts should just be branded somehow to see that it's an old discussion.
I would think deleting everything might be not that wise since there still probably will be plenty of relevant feedback and critique that applies to 2.0 as well.
Just change the hue of these comment box backgrounds to grey maybe?
Old posts will be buried in the system anyway when 2.0 launches and sparks new threads so I don't think this should be too confusing to anyone anyway.
Not being able to see the date and time of the last to post is annoying. Date and Time of last post; Can I have it?
Why do we need a "restricted" forum just because we have jobs at 50? They would need a pretty good valid reason to do it , not just because it makes you feel all big and powerful ...
Depends on whether SE keep the V1 servers running after V2's release, as they're currently considering doing.
If V1 closes down then these forums really aren't useful any more except for nostalgia (which I'm not knocking, it's fine to look back) so some form of freezing/archiving would be best if it can be done I think.
However, if V1 still lives post-V2 then these forums would provide somewhere for players to chat on: of course, with no expected SE involvement beyond moderation of content.
