There is no counter measure for trades if you give someone your stuff you better trust them simple as that. A trade is always an 2 way agreement.

Meld Theft

some melders meld and fail less expensive items and tell you that they have failed and then sell your item in the AH we need to Countermeasure this problem


where in this quote does it say they're doing double and triple melds and even saying that it is really happening it says they failed the meld and sold the item hmmm nothing about double or triple melding and guess what items break when they don't meld properly and materia is the one that stays... how about that. Nothing saying it's the materia being sold just items also items aren't even meldable now that you think about it. I can continue to pick that sentence apart if you'd like me too... also there is no Ah and so far there hasn't been any one complaining about this being a "problem" I'm sure there would be a huge rant on here besides this not even one completely coherent sentence about it.

You can't PURPOSELY fail a meld either, therefore its impossible to scam someone by PURPOSELY failing a meld. Besides that, you can see what meld succeeded or failed within the chat log, so you'd have to be a bleeding moron to fall for it.
