I apologize for making the most popular threads. I am a bad person.
One thing i find mind blowing is how much faith people have on yoshida.
What exactly have he done so far? Why must we trust him so much when there have not been yet anything worth praising?
Do we really think some tweaks and unfinished thins makes him a hero ?.
Idk i just find it completely absurd how people adore yoshida because he can talk pretty , when he have yet to prove he is worth the money. Not saying he can or can not do it. Just saying is a bit to soon to praise the guy. He have done nothing yet, apart from being an excellent marketing tool.
Btw i rather have polished content than more unfinished not engaging crap we have now.
you beat the dead horse with this "the most popular threads". How can a thread be popular if half of them are full on insults to you because you're a famous troll ? <_< don't judge only from the numbers of pages lol
@zkieve people praise it for 2 reasons: after years of non-talking with SE, is the one actually saying something, second because what he promised he kept. Everything listed in the patch notes every time is there. You can argue isn't much, but alas, he said that too
What about the agro icon ? is the first creation from yoshida. We know how that turned out.
Anyways im not saying its good or bad, im saying we are being lead around by a pretty face.Is like that hot chick in the bar who you spend all the night with but you never got to do her or ever will, only promises while you get your wallet empty. To early to praise so much.
Is not that pretty much redundant ?. I mean what else would we expect from the director of the game lol.
is like taking out hitler and putting castro on power. Those that makes castro a hero ? not really.
IDk perhaps is my personality. I value actions and not words. We only gotten words so far and few tweaks im not so happy about. So i still consider is to early to be praising him so much.
Thank you for this fine demonstration of Godwin's Law.
Just because FFXIV has a new producer and a few other staff changes doesn't mean that they will be able to develop it any faster. But at least Yoshida acknowledges most of the problems, and has played enough MMOs to know what FFXIV needs to become a decent game.
At this point, the time it takes doesn't make much difference.. SE already made the mistake of releasing the game too early in order to beat other MMOs to the punch, and that was one of the worst decisions in the history of the company.
If they want FFXIV to have any sort of "revival" with the PS3 release, the game has to be complete and polished. Fretting over the release dates of other games is pointless.
Zkieve I agree with you. As more and more patches come out and less and less problems are addressed my faith will start to dwindle in the man. Right now, I understand what he is up against and am cutting him some slack, maybe because of the feedback he gives, Producers Letters, or the polls. I will be honest, if things aren't much better by 1.18 I don't know if I will still be around. He does has to back his words up with action, very soon.
