Yoshi-P... You are running out of time...

    Dear Yoshida,

The servers are slowly but surely dieing off as you are undoubtedly aware.

Would you please give us a timeline showing exactly what you plan to change regarding the systems in this game? I believe this would restore hope in the players who are leaving Eorzea for other games. April 19 kicks off a blockbuster-packed year of incredible games. Please do something, or at least say something - and make haste about it!

    11. Would you welcome changes to FINAL FANTASY XIV that would drastically alter the rules already set in Eorzea?
    85.2% - Yes

    6. In addition to enhancing class differentiation with essential attributes and distinct appearances, we are also looking into introducing class and rank requirements for equipping gear. How do you feel about the implementation of such a system?

    8. Would you prefer option 1, option 2, or the current system?
56.0% - Removal of physical levels, and the addition of class-specific allotment of attribute points for each class based on rank.

Even if Belgian is being trolly he at least has a very valid point. Tho you should not promise what you cant deliver a rough timeline would spark many peoples interest and help to retain players. Even FF11 that ive played for 8years has not seen a significant update in months or any real info on next planned update. With the recent events in Japan though its understandable that plans have been put on hold or pushed back but a word about it other than a 6 word twitter sentence would be nice. Alot of people despise twitter btw its mainly a tool for 15-25year females and people w/ blotted egos to blab about how they called off work to go shopping because they where up all night boozing till 3am.( then the arrive at work the following day to get wrote up or fired for posting there ignorance online for all to see lol)

In the Zam interview he stated the rough time slot for the first big content patch; approximately easter.
I guess as Hokizaemon said this would be delayed a bit tho.

"ZAM: Do you have an estimated time frame of when players can expect to see that battle patch?

Yoshida: Right now we're working on a high-end dungeon for hardcore players. We want to have the battle changes ready for when that's released. I can't give you an exact date, but I can tell you it will be sometime in the spring. When the dungeon is released, a bunch of battle changes will also come with it."

I actually agree with the main thread. I have had this game for over 6 months now and still it is no where near what anyone would consider a finished product. Don't get me wrong Yoshi-san has done a lot for the game and is still doing a lot, but after 6 months I want to feel like that game has gone somewhere and it hasn't. I know Yoshi-san has only been working on the game for the last 3 months, but that's not an excuse. He, unfortunately, has to work even harder to make up for the lack of fixes by the old team. He is in an extremely hard spot, I know, but the patches thus far, 1.15 and 1.16 and their a counterparts have been mediocre, in my opinion, at best. We need real content and patches, and unfortunately for the new dev team, we need them now. Or if not know at least a date of when to expect this. I think deadlines are important and gives the customer, player base (don't forget we did buy this game, even though it is F2P right now), an idea as when they will have their product ready, and it gives the dev pressure to get it done on time. I understand his fears on delays and not being able to meet a deadline for unexplained reasons but at the same time I don't think it is profession nor courtesy to dangle the players by strings hoping the next patch will be the patch to save the game. I have full faith that Yoshi-san can make this game great, my concern is if he can do it before the players move on. Lets hope so.

hmmm, the game started in october, but the new team started 4 moths ago <_< with the bulk of work and re-design, you can't expect a huge patch around the corner (and don't forget they need to test it before). Yoshida don't really have a magic wand. We know they working on something huge, let's leave it alone.
Or you guys expect something like "Okay, today we change the formula of sp gain, just need to do some math and all will be good" in the IT industry ? Because computer programming isn't so easy
