Chocobo Appearance Customisation

But yeah, you'll get your own chocobo at level 30...probably...depending on how they're doing companies now.

Just weird to me lol. The whole chocobo as a companion sounds like Star Wars the Old Republic companions. I have a feeling that each chocobo is going to have its own color like it did in FF7.

Black Choco (Tank)

Red Choco (Caster)

White Choco (Healer).

I just hope Yoshida distinguishes the companion chocos vs the choco mounts already in game. I rather have a little fat chocobo at my side then the one that looks like my mount. Meh.

As for customization, I believe they won't implement the eye, beak, feather length, size. The size is scaled to which race you're playing as.

So whatever happened to the system that they were adding that would allow for us to change the colors of all kinds of different things? I vaguely remember something about a system they were implementing that would allow for us to better amend the colors of certain things in the games as well as giving us a vaster array of colors to choose from.

I'm really interested in that aspect of customization. Anyone know anything extra? Or did that get axed?

They wouldn't implement colours depending on what type of Chocobo you have, that would just throw off the fans. What if people just want the traditional yellow/golden Chocobos? It has to be the players choice to have it the colour they want it, no matter what type it is, if they decide to make the colour option available to us.

I'm sorry I don't know much else, we would just have to wait and see what they plan on doing for us for that type of customization.

I believe that there will be different coloured chocobos at some point. That's a great thing to have, but beyond that don't you agree that being able to change your chocobo's individual appearance and features would make you cherish it that much more? It would be so much more personal and enjoyable to play with a companion that looks unique, apart from its colour and name IMO.

Well maybe, but maybe small things like eye color and just the color of the Chocobo, but I mean, how much better can ya get, they are allowing us to name our Chocobo. :p
