On Limit Breaks and Summoner

At the very least drogoon and if the energy is channeled to them would have a dragon summoned to do an attack. Be nice to see little waverns all the time for them however.

Meteror is a blm channeled break. Devine destruction whm. THe rest who knows, hopefully more and more will be shown.

I honestly don't think we will see a Dragon based attack of any kind coming from DRG. In Lore, Dragoons are the antithesis of Dragons, stealing the power of their enemies to slay them. Only fallen Dragoons call upon the Dragons themselves.

As for SMN, I believe Yoshi-P said that anyone within a Free Company will be able to summon a Primal regardless of class or job. It seems more likely that SMN will get some sort of Astral Flow ability for their Minor Primals.

That's not how bard works. It will most likely be a pt buff of some sort like Battle Voice is.

Why would any party use an invincibility/revive buff if they aren't dying/dead? The only one that is actually affected by this limit break would be the whm since they would have nothing to do for 30 seconds, the rest the group would function exactly the same as without the buff. It seems to me that they would use any of the limit breaks that boost damage dealt that at point.

Hell, I see little use for a planned 30 seconds immunity besides the obvious "avoid boss 2hr." Limit breaks seem, to me, more like well thought-out and properly timed group ability that ensures victory when done correctly. Not an "oh shit" mechanic that you activate when things are going south.

I know dragoons despise dragons and their 1 purpose is is to kill dragons but it would be cool to get a dragon based limit. For example freya from FFIX had dragon heart(right?) for every dragon killed the damage would increase capping at 9999.

Exactly, it would make every boss 2hr in the game completely pointless. Broken.

Meh, I literally typed this up in 2 minutes for fun lol...I'm sure 6/7 are wrong

The spoiled text for SMN on the site does mention 'Primals' by name which may hint at a change of direction from Yoshi-P's original Free Company idea.

If summoning Primals is also part of the Limit Break system (I suspect a summoner would have to fight Ifrit to gain a one-shot 'Pact' first), then this might be a best of both worlds for SMNs.


Time will tell though.
