Dungeons: Add Phoenix Down Drops

How about we teach people that they can die and be raised without them having to port back because lord if I try to phoenix down someone one more time and they port back I will lose it.

We wiped in Sastasha, granted, I had trash gear and the healer pulled all the last mobs (like ALL) then couldn't keep up the healing. Luckily, she had time to do swiftcast raise on me (in the boss room) I grabbed the remaining mobs with the two dps then raised her with a phoenix down.

I keep a stack of 99 on me anyway.

More reason to interact with the vendor(s) would be nice.

When I read that something got changed to rezz players in normal dungeons, I first had to look up what a Phoenix Down even is - seeing how I never bothered with Deep Dungeons at all...
So for casual players it's very easy to have no idea that they exist, and that they are usable in normal dungeons now.
Even if there was an ingame popup... I get lots of them lately, and they never contain anything worth reading ("you're about to follow this NPC around for 10 minutes, let me explain to you on 5 pages of text how you do this").

Exactly. Make people more aware of it would be nice because then they'd know that oops the healer died is okay, and I the tank can just mitigate and raise you or the DPS can just raise you. Stop porting to the dang start if it's recoverable T_T

I more often have the opposite issue in where folks think we can use Phoenix Downs in normal raids.

Really think they should just allow it everywhere.

It's not the worst idea. Not every player can afford many Phoenix Down from the vendors or even know about them. Maybe gaining them in some chests would give a hint.
No removing Material though...

Oh, I know how to use Phoenix Downs, I just don't care to carry them around the same way I don't bother with other potions or food. I've only got so much inventory space and there's other things I'd rather be spending gil on, so they're not a priority for me.

If people are dying that much in normal content where Phoenix Downs have become a "necessity" than that just tells me the content is over-tuned.

That sounds like a you problem. I've personally never had issues spiritbonding for crafting and gathering materia... If I do, I have the means to get an ungodly amount of scrips to buy the materia needed by keeping the mats for certain collectables.... Like most crafter's should have... And for gathering, it's fairly quick to do a route along most timed nodes to get the spiritbond needed quite quickly... So quite literally wasting your battle materia like that is not very bright considering how easy spiribonding is when doing master recipes or timed nodes.

Edit: When I initially responded I thought you just didn't like the work for the hand/land materia, but I see the knowledge might not be there on how simple it is nowadays to get that materia. A lot quicker and more cost effective to do what was suggested, but keep burning your battle materia, at least you won't be swimming in it like us. To reiterate; spirit bonding on nodes for gathering has been significantly increased. You fully bond significantly faster gathering from timed nodes, even level 90 ones.

I can't begin to name how many times I've carried a raid and needed to use a higher-level Ether to regain some mp back, or how food made a run go smoother and faster, even in the normal ones. Your inventory shouldn't be full carrying like 5 or 6 different things.

I relate to this so hard.

I feel like the port back in dungeons shouldn't even be an option unless everyone is dead in the dungeon's boss area.
