Yeah, after years of pug raids in WoW... most shouts usually included:

Be geared for your role. (No tanks in healing gear tyvm) Know the fights. (Read the forums, watch the youtube videos).

Some day I hope the community here understands why this became normal.

Couldn't agree more. This is discouraging players, and I've experienced it first hand.

I think people looking for pick up groups should be willing to educate new players on how the fight is done. Personally, I do most of the pt content with pick up parties, and I'm a fast learner. If I can do a practice run to see how everything works, and be instructed on what to do, after that, I can do it.

But the problem is when parties reject perfectly competent players just because they have yet to do the content. If the leader knows the battle plan, whats the big deal with telling new players what that battle plan IS?

Wrong. New players that just want to learn the fight should make a party of noobs and try it to learn.
Garuda don't allow noobs and need all 8 to have gear and know how to play their classes.

Unfortunately, a noob lying about being a veteran will only get a /oust sonner rather than later .
Veterans don't want to carry anyone on their backs specially when you ask specifically for veterans.

As a side note, i was 'interviewed' for an Ifrit fight by a pug pt leader. They were the first ones to mess up and die :/

This is a good example of what I'm talking about. Truth is, there's very nice players out there that are indeed vets that actually enjoy helping new players and teaching them.

It's the 'nice' way of saying, "NO NOOBZ"

But usually, asking for no noobs just means you're also a noob.
