Are you guys clicking on mobs and players to taget them? Or using tab and the F buttons?
The game feels incredibly sluggish with a controller, and I feel that my overall performance is really poor with a controller. It was the opposite in FFXI, I couldn't stand those keyboard/mouse controls, and the controller just felt right.
The controls for this game are godawful, but they're still better than XI was on the keyboard. Excited for being able to right click enemies to attack, inviting party members, adding friends, etc.
The speed at which you can spin the camera around has nothing to do with k/m vs gamepad... If you couldn't spin the camera around fast enuff it's because you didn't bother to increase the sensitivity of whatever key you had mapped to your axis control in whatever 3rd pt program you were using (in the case of WoW). User error is user error.
I use a controller now, but I hate the current mouse+keyboard controls. If they can fix them with A Realm Reborn, I'll switch to them...but for now, they way too sluggish for my taste.
No. Even with increased sensitivity, you cannot compare controller to mouse camera movement. It's been proven numerous times that mouse precision is superior to an analog stick. Preference is preference, but don't try to say that the camera speed isn't different. Because mouse controls are undeniably superior.
Gamepad all the way for me since i play on my TV on the couch and Keyboard/mouse would turn me into a hunchback after a while with my setup, also i always kinda disliked gaming with Keyboard/Mouse
KB/M makes me want to stab my eyes out.
The UI is 100% intended for a Gamepad, casting spells is horrifyingly bad with a mouse, especially if the mobs are moving around a lot.
You can increase the camera turn speed sure. But you cant be as precise with a gamepad as you can with a mouse. That is not user error that is just the way it is. Flicking the mouse in a direction to spin the camera is infinitely faster than holding the analog stick in the direction you want the camera to go. This is also an FPS argument and it's been proven time and time again. For camera controls mouse > gamepad.
Also, I didn't use any third party mouse programs and camera speed was always default in WoW.
