there already are female Mamool Ja in the game (only as of DT, admittedly), though they look... they at least look like the same species, but the devs still tried to make them look distinctly softer than the males to... mixed results, at least in my opinion

It would be neat but they would need to make glams for them too. I would create a Mamool Ja alt if they made armor like Thel 'Vadam's from Halo.

I would actually like this. I always personally wanted to play as a Bangaa after learning a little bit about how they were Dragoons in FF: Tactics.

Once the Viera and Hrothgar hat problem is hopefully taken care of, I hope the dev team experiments with making actual limited beast tribe races playable.

Also of Mamool Ja ever become playable, then I demand Scarface Bakool Ja's sacred hot springs dance becomes an emote. Let us see what the actual dance is, dammit!!!! xD

They have limited jobs, right? Why not limited race? I could see it working.
For character creation: choose your clan (Hoobigo/Boonewa, because rip Doppro representation), gender, height, scale tone, etc. Then you get a number outfits to choose from regardless of gear (think perma-glamour, basically), work changing the outfits into the aesthetician because it keeps that minor gil sink working.

I don't think it would be very popular as an option, but I would 100% play as Mamool Ja even with limited options. It seems silly that we have an expansion with prominent Mamool Ja characters and we can't play as one.

Honestly, failing what I've written above, I hope this will be an option. I want to play as Mamool Ja.

I want playable classes.

The best part is that Mamool Ja models are already in the game and some already use familiar emotes. If they released it in a limited capacity, they wouldn't have to do much extra work, unlike all the missing hats for Hrothgar and Viera.
Devs said long ago if we wanted more playable races to post about it :D thus here we are!
