The sad part is that even if you defy the odds and do DDR on BLM, you're still less effective than PCT, which is essentially an upgraded SMN that ignores rules around burst. I'm sure the justification is going to be something along the lines of 'but look at how many people like PCT!' when it really should be 'but look at all those longstanding players from other jobs who are just losing interest in the game.'

I wonder what the job design team is doing at this point. It seems like we're getting radio silence on this.

It's time we actually deleted existing job design and rework from the ground up something is clearly not right about current design.

Picto stands out because its actually well designed and rewards people at the higher levels, almost like the job has a skill celling but isn't hard to pickup... I guess it does have some ultimate encounter issues but I feel this is more of a issue with in general class design.

Anytime that a job is overpowered, this rhetoric gets used to defend why. This came up in tank balance for years when WAR players were defending their turf.

'Don't nerf X, it's actually well designed. Buff the other jobs into equality.' And coupled with a balance team that is afraid of giving offense through nerfs, you have a recipe for bad design.

Difference is i never defended warrior as a good design. Infact ive complained about it's design for a long time, you do not understand that it can be true that Picto is overtuned but its design is also really good, while warrior is just bad.

I actually much preferred 6.0-6.2 Paladin to current, I do not defend jobs because one is overperforming,Pictomancer is actually a fun I defend fun designs and uniqueness.

I'm already not against small nerfs to how much it benefits from downtime but you got to be Really careful with not making Picto more closer to our current formular which encourages jobs to be designed very similar at the base level.

Please do not categories me with people who defend things that are overpowered because you think I just like jobs being overpowered, I don't even raid at a high end level and do not care about "meta" I play what I find fun thank you.
