One thing from an old piece of leftover code from the old days is a technique called Slidecasting. Making use of that will substantially help.

except for sages it's not a simple matter of "just hit instant casts lol" since you need to use eukrasia before you can cast your "instant cast" gcd shields, that's two seperate buttons you need to press very quickly while ALSO somehow moving fast enough to not get clipped by any of these attacks with brutally fast snapshots? and if someone gets hits they're probably going to die to the spread mechanic, the attacks move so quickly i can't even select someone and get off an addergall fast enough, they're so quick it takes too much time to target someone and use an instant cast heal, because you still need time to target someone and throw it out even if they are "instant cast because it takes time away fromm moving to select someone and click the button.
They buffed Second wind for melee's so they can learn to smack the button. They also have there neat bloodbath they should be pressing. i think healing is Better now as it means that we have some more reactive time to what is about to be incoming, If a dps dies from 3 invuls maybe they will learn. Sometimes you can't play the hero because others keep walking in the orange.
My point in mentioning instants is to be your solution to move and heal at the same time. The only healing actions you need to sit still and cast on SGE are only Diagnosis and Prognosis (please don't use these lol). Sure, Eukrasia has pseudo 1.00s delay. But if it comes down to surviving, SGE has literally the rest of their library of buttons being instants.
Also in that first boss if you try to react solely by seeing the AoE telegraphs, you're more likely to get hit. You'll have a better chance to dodge the mechanic by watching the boss' arms movement. If they raise their left arm, that indicates the left side of the arena is going to be hazardous. Move out before the telegraph actually appear. The boss does this 4 times in a row. So hang around close to the center => watch which arm's raised => get away from that side => back to middle => repeat.

Are you walking through the stationary poison orbs (the one the boss slams to create the aoes) or something? That's the only thing I can think of, since the vid I'm watching doesn't even have a dot on someone for half a second after eating a splash. But if that's the issue, just don't walk into them, that's basically the same as not walking off the edge of an arena.
yes but consider this:
finding the button and clicking on it takes time, while you're also trying to orient yourself and move in time, if you're using the mouse to both click on buttons and for camera control as you used WASD to move, clicking even instant cast buttons might cause you to die if the AoEs are too fast or too punishing. I typically find i can only toss out my instant casts towards the end of a movement phase for this reason, and because the boss does this 4 times in a row, there isn't enough "breather room" to use any abilities until the mechanic is over with and someone has probably either died to the aoes, the poison dot, or the spread markers.
