Yup well I want new races on the back burner for a long time and the current ones to be worked on in the front. Hence responses like mine and others in the thread asking for more new races. The ones we have currently are not even feature complete and fem hroth has major issues to deal with. I rather they forget new races for at least 2-4 years and expand our options for current ones. A new race is A LOT of work. And if they do that we likely won't get the customisation I would like. Hence the opposition.
My biggest wish is that this game gets more staff and budget so that they aren’t crunching all day and night and still having stuff end up feeling padded, rushed or unfinished.
But in the absence of that, I’m not going to shut someone down for saying what they would love to see in this game. It’s nice to wish for things. The devs can just ignore what they can’t or are not interested in doing. They don’t need us to debate every little wish for weeks. That’s not part of their workflow I assure you.
Dev have shown us that when they add race they don't work or put effort in other unfinished ones. Our local lion boy and bunny girl still are unfinished despite existing for 5 years now.
I doubt SE make hiring decision about what player want to be added. Also yet agains, some jobs been complained about for having outdated gameplay or mechanic, or simply problem. Dev also love to strip old class from something that make them different just to make the new ones more unique. just like when they removed all cone shaped aoe except Reaper one in Endwalker. They also showed that adding a new class sometime limit the design of other. just like when Yoshi P said they had no idea what to give to SCH in endwalker, since they gave all the coold shield healer stuff to Sage.
Just like the healers been doing with no result in the past 5 years?
You're asking people to not voice their opinions if they go against people who want more stuff.
My wishes are too embarrassing to put down others over
(Yoshi plz let me be a magical caster Bard)
You just wished for a carless freeway. I could tell you why there are more important wishes you could make, or that your wish is a waste of a wish, or that actually thats a bad thing or that freeways were fine and traffic is no problem stop complaining. Feels like pointless wet blanket behaviour though. I’m rooting for you instead. I am here to support your dreams! Banish those cars to the shadow realm!
Woah, I gotta go re-watch Aladdin.
Some voices are louder than others, that much is evident if you look at the difference in feedback on Dawntrail in places like Twitter versus the Official Forums. This isn't exclusive to FFXIV, many other games come to mind.
Don't yuck another's yum, that much I agree with. However, taking the voice acting as an example, it's a harsh reality that certain voiced cutscenes are objectively bad. We all paid for this expansion, and many had expected better. The moment you can't show dissatisfaction about something you used to enjoy, you're going down a slippery slope of degradation in quality because the devs don't get varied enough feedback.
My point being: If you go onto any public forum and state your opinion, you open yourself up to criticism. Providing criticism beyond "product good/bad" is difficult for many, but accepting criticism and allowing yourself to reflect upon it will serve you better than demanding everyone either agrees with you or keeps silent. The community you interact with does not owe you their compliance.
