If you're casting it outside of combat in XIV - again, MP consumption be damned as it regenerates in no time. In combat, however, we have a rotation that restores MP and does damage at the same time.

Sigh, who gave them the idea to remove raise from rdm and smn...
Pretty sure Paladins had combat Raise in 1.0 (the WHM trait was introduced in 2.0 I think) but that was essentially a different game lol.
Frankly I don’t see the problem with Paladins having a costly Raise, under one condition , which is that content would need to be more difficult than it is now .
I mean, people keep saying ‘we can’t have difficulty because if healer dies it’s joever’, but that can easily be remedied by increasing the available of Raise. Every tank/practically ever dps already has party wide heals and mitigations, so if they gave more jobs Raise they could easily raise the difficulty of general content, as there’s be more ways to save the party. Currently it’s just ‘ignore party, solo boss as tank, profit’ lol
While we're at it, give bards back the healer LB3. All of their other utility has been stripped out or reduced to negligible levels, given them something unique.
Give healers and tanks a secondary dps LB3 too while we're at it, don't know how many times an lb3 at enrage while everyone but tank/healer is dead woulda ended the fight.
