FFXI-FFXIV Besieged

While the idea is awesome, hence why t was fun in ffxi, this would actually fix problems, and cause problems. By making this on all 3 nations people may take part, but again they'd probably gnore limsa and grid a fair bit.

The problem with Beseiged mainly was that the rewards were limited, Seals would be appropriate to fix this, the second was the OP attacks killing you from mobs you can;t see. From what Yoshi has said about the engine it might, might just eb able to handle this type of fight correctly. And with dynamic lowering of system specs to render even more models on screen it may be actually a very very good event.

I always liked besieged in FF11. It was an event that was fun enough to join even if the rewards were lower than other things you could manage to do in an hour.

It would be great if there was a way to implement something like it in FF14. In FF11, the lag wasn't really as much of an issue as the poor framerate you would get as a combination of many 3D models and poor graphics optimization for PC. If FF14 will run as efficiently as they're making it sound, I'm all for it.

You wish it was as good and open ended as Besieged was. I recall out of the 400-710 people who were fighting in Besieged not once did you have people tell DRG or MNK to gtfo the content xD.

It would have been a helluva lot better if it was like Besieged or even Campaign given it uses a score system.

Isn't too bad. really depends on the scale of the area. If area big enough then spreading out the people isnt a problem.

also FFXI had player-area limitations. Think its 80 now.

Maybe instead of lots of lag. they could create more zones or only let players do random waves then get kicked out. Like say those 50players cant rejoin until 10mins afterwords the next fight.


Wave1 50 mobs plus 1-2 bosses
Wave2 50 mobs plus 1-2 bosses
Wave3 mobs plus 1-2 bosses

they could always cap it at say 24-32 players and have multiple instances might be something good for an alliance system when it is in place.

you must not have no fun not at all nope.

I remember the only issue with 710 people Besieges I had was finding mobs to fight lol. Not because of character limitation but because before they adjusted it you could bulldoze most mobs but specific beastmen (usually the lesser fauna like lizards/some puks etc).

1 Blue Mage Mamool Ja ended over 420 people with Flame Breath.
