So, about us getting new media "all summer long"

to be honest, they ninja-updated official site with rse artworks after japan expo, and they said 1.23 it's right on schedule.
I want 2.0 news like every else, but no point being impatient. News will come, when it's time to come

I'm always partial about these stuff. On one hand, I really want some new info to sink my teeth into.
On the other hand, I don't mind this silence. It feels like the calm before the storm.

AND THERE BETTER BE A /GOOD/ STORM IN AUGUST!!! *shakes fist at S-E* XD

This is one storm where I don't mind being blown miles away! Do not dissapoint me S-E.

Same. I don't find myself to be impatient or anything, but OP does have a point when he says they mentioned "all summer long" when that really isn't the case right now.

Right now in Japan SE is full on promoting Dragon Quest X (Another MMO but for DQ fans for those that didn't know) anyways the game release date is 08/02 so it could be possible they are trying to keep FFXIV quiet until DQX is released and then go on full out as marketing strategy.

Surely you jest, 1.23 will be either the 31st or 16th of August lol.

"All summer long" means August 15th - September 30th.

When I was working, Id spend all day reading and chatting about FF14 online when I didnt have something to do. This was prior to the release of the game. When it was released, I spent all day white knighting on forums, until I finally accepted jesus into my heart- I mean finally accepted that the game was bollocks.

I hate the fact that they are not releasing much information, but I believe most of it is due to the fact that they are not trying to spoil the ending of 1.0 for us. I hope once patch 1.23 hits that we will get a lot more information coming our way.

Damn..what a short summer :( What do they consider May - July I wonder then? Also if that is all summer long...I hate to see what they consider winter. o.O;

I hear that man! I can't stand it here anymore. I'm a web designer, so I'm on the web all day long. And I'm the head designer, so there's nothing that can be said to me no matter what I'm doing, unless of course my work wasn't getting done. But I'm always on here, looking for news and good topics. But my plan is to get outta here asap, and get back to freelancing where it was actually worth it. Work from home, make more money, and game. Back to a healthy routine. This job is just nauseating.

And guys...being impatient is one thing, but anticipating at least SOME kind of new news after 8 days of nothing should be normal for players like me, that get 3-4 hours max a day to play, and that's only when I get to actually play. Most of the time I just log on the game and stand around for an hour or so until my girlfriend makes me pick her up from work. It sucks that I can't dedicate more time to the game the way I'd like to. But what would at least be nice is some good stuff to read about when I do have some time to myself. -___-

Every Summer/Fall/Winter/Spring has a different time frame is in different Countries.. Maybe in Japan Summer starts in August and ends in Sept/October... I live in the USA so its natural to think Summer is June 22/23st-Sept 22nd... but else it may not be that exact time frame.
