Seeing as Materia has absolutely nothing available for new FCs at the moment, I really hope they do what they did with Dynamis and open up the locked wards and free up some FC plots in current wards, rather than keeping them locked to private buyers.

It's kind of a yes/no in my opinion.

I agree that there isn't a lot of demand but specifically only on dead servers and when it comes to small plots. Outside of that, there is a lot of demand across the 3 main DCs in NA. I can't count on both hands anymore the amount of times I've seen people comment on threads relating to housing that they don't want to have to settle for a plot and they want either a medium or a large. So, smalls just sit abandoned in places and multi-owners pick them up. It's a self-created problem to an extent as if people wouldn't be so strict about their wants, those plots could be taken by actual people instead of just slowly picked up by sub-owners because the majority don't want them. To each their own I suppose.

Materia won't have more wards opened in my opinion as well, due to the fact that population there is basically non-existent to the point that (from what I saw another comment bring up in a thread on here not too long ago) OCE wasn't even mentioned recently in a discussion about different raid strategies and positions that the different regions use. You'd need a surge of actual people taking up those private plots for them to start taking notice of Materia again.
