Apkallu Falls in Gridania should have an Aetheryte

It would make a lot of sense to add a major aetheryte at the Gubal Library.

More generally, I would love to see a lot more chocobo porter destinations for auto-steering travel across the map.

While sometimes annoying I somehow appreciate that you can't teleport instantly to the destination and have to walk a few meters for some things.

Parts of the Hinterlands are still occupied by the hostile Illuminati, so it makes sense the people of Idyllshire don't want to give them an easy teleport into the city.

Out of story, I remember reading somewhere that Idyllshire was originally supposed to be part of the Hinterlands map, like Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona, but was separated to reduce server load from people crowding the city for endgame vendors and roaming the Hinterlands for leveling, hunts, etc.

Wouldn't the Illuminati still need to attune the Idyllshire aetheryte if they wanted to get through in one piece? I remember that the Empire tried sending conscripts through a since-destroyed aetheryte in the House of the Fierce that none of them had attuned to, and most of them got maimed or died in the process.

Depends. We've gone through unattuned aetherytes a few times, most notably to confront Titan and Shiva, and to quickly travel from Sharlayan to Thavnair. It's difficult, but not impossible.

I understand the annoyance, but it's okay to walk around sometimes and not just "teleport in - do stuff - teleport out".
