Or give Deployment Tactics stacks and make it applicable to enemies with dot. Now we don’t need one extra button that we don’t press during High End content.

Other scholars: "give us miasma, give us bane"
me, greedily rubbing his hands together "take away energy drain and never give it back"
They did and so many people complained they added it back 2 weeks later. The priority system for Scholar heals is entirely dependent on the existence of Energy Drain, and is one of the most interesting elements of playing the job. Please stop complaining about this and play a different healer if you don't like it. You do not need to use Energy Drain if you need the Aetherflow heals, and can get by just fine without it. This is also not the thread to discuss this, please stay on topic.
It very much feels like they want to force SCH players to all swap to SGE but don't quite know how to do it properly.
I assume they want to force every remaining HW/SB SCH player off the job so they can rework the job into something as mindless as SMN.
As for the thread title, yes give us back Bane, I'd rather have that back than a singular AoE DoT every 120 seconds.
There is one thing I’m worried about in regards for forcing SCH players off SCH
we are getting another amplifier to GCD heals and a CD reduction to recitation. I’m worried they are trying to delete deployment tactics and if you want a big shield you should just be expected to use seraphism (and potentially dissipation) to recite succor instead
Can you imagine a 1 minute CD recitation with 4 spreadlo amplifiers (and when you don’t need spreadlo you have a 1 minute pnuema). It’s just beyond broken unless they delete deployment
Also obligatory bring back bane or allow deployment to deployment to act as bane
Yeah I remember when they rfinally emoved energy drain and scholar was at it's best more enjoyable version. It's obvious why energy drain should be removed but I already know that people are so attached to it that it sends them into a fury when you suggest it's removal. Energy drain is one and only reason aetherflow has remained the same for scholar since excog was introduced in stormblood and aetherflow is unlikely to grow as long as Energy Drain still exists as we know it today. Mark my words it will get removed or changed drastically at some point.
Just so you know, game designers never design a job in hopes that people stop playing it. Once you know a class designer or two, or when you become one these kind of conspiracy theories are really funny.
I would love this so much
I remember hearing someone theorize that since every healer is getting a new healing button, an old one will be removed since they just don't have the hotbar space anymore. I'm genuinely fearing for the fate of earthly star, assize, or deploy. It's unimaginable and awful enough that i think it might actually happen.
Energy Drain is nice because it adds a decision-making component to SCH's gameplay.
I'd personally have wanted all of the healers to have a resource that can be burned on offensive or defensive/healing abilities so there's more of a skill curve involved with each job.
