It's time: Hrothgar posture setting

Fem hroth were never going to get the slouch and I wasn't surprised when I was proved right.
The fact they didn't means SE knows it's an undesirable feature.
And that the fan fix even exists is just a big wtf at SE. They even had to fix the male viera posture early on.

+1 A hunch only makes sense if the race had more beast-like anatomy like the Charr. But as Hrothgar functionally use a humanoid (Roegadyn) skeleton, all it does it make the males look like they have naturally poor posture.

Even the hrothgar in the Dawntrail trailer are all standing/walking upright, so why not bring that in game as well?

I support the idea. Anything for more customization options is good

Oh, one other setting I wanna add: Can we get the male claws useable in other gear? Currently you can only see our claws out in the base gear, but I'd like to see them in some gloveless gear. So maybe a /clawsout toggle or something?

Would definitely fantasia into a Hroth every so often if there was a toggle, lack of hats I could stomach since they added glasses compatibility but could never really get over that hunch. As I very much like their stance when they straighten their back out like in their one idle animation. Edit: i do like the hunch but not as a fulltime thing for me if that makes sense XD Though I think ill continue to be quite satisfied with Roe with the DT updates implemented.

1000% this. When they announced Hrothgar, I was really looking forward to get my Kimahri on. I've been asking for a beast race since 1.0 when they polled the community. The female Hrothgar, thus far, look amazing. I just want to see the male Hrothgar get the same treatment as right now it looks like they're the only race/gender that doesn't seem "finished" or that they were completed at a much lower quality.

True, the writing was on the wall, no one would play a female char with a slouch.
Just finished MSQ and while I'm happy for FemHrothgar, it didn't feel good to have my char hulking around after Esmeralda a la The Hunchback from Notre-Dame.

If we ever see promo material with Hroth boys and gals together, they'd absolutely slap any straight back emote on male Hrothgar and call it a day, that's how weird they look side by side.

And I completely agree with you, they absolutely know it's an undesirable feature and it's sad that we have to bring attention to this (again and for so long) and it's not something that the dev team acknowledges by themselves.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more likes or attention brought to it.

I was a big fan of the single player FF games on ps1/ps2 as a kid. When the players all yelled for ronso and Viera to be added, I was totally onboard and excited to see it happen. When I saw Hrothgar in game, I was utterly disappointed. People asked for Ronso, but got a stubby , top heavy, hunchback .. something. I half expected to see them fall on their face while running around town. The hunchback is the reason I never play Hrothgar. If they had given a proper ronso , I would have been happy to drop fantasia money to become one. Feels like they tried to do too much at once to please a wider audience, but in doing so , they missed the mark when it comes to Ronso, which is what was requested.

Tldr I completely agree with, and support anything that leads to non hunchback Hrothgar.

When I saw Hrothgar coming for the first time, I was disappointed because even if they looks like Ronso we are still far from it.

Like OP said, Ronso in FFX have a way better posture even with their digitigrade feet style. Also, FFX's Ronso look way more fit and muscular than our Hrothgar who look fat in comparison.
