I just mean that I've only seen predictions for things that are already established in Final Fantasy, Corsair, Green Mage, Pictomancer... all things that are one-off, but still rooted in the series. I've not seen much of anyone trying to think outside of the series.

I mean... could you have guessed Viper? Or Reaper before? Or how sage turned out? Nothing in the other teaser hinted at the job dual wielding. So people resort to guessing the familiar, they saw a sword, they saw a guy on a ship.

I completely understand what you're saying but when you're not drawing on existing jobs and you're tossing out extremely vague hints people don't really have a lot to work with. You could have said Footman for the new job and had as much evidence to back it up.

Personally was hoping something weapon master direction to the melee.
was not wrong, just didn't hope as much as other did.

I'm grateful as it's highly likely we won't get stuff that is already covered or part of the lore in other aspects.

though doesn't fully disprove picto/painter.
and the green mage ideas could just be story things rather than combat.

I didn't guess the name, but I guessed the weapon correctly. Like I said before, I was guessing Serge from Chrono Cross, who uses a Swallow--a two-sided sword. Or something similar to Zidane who has two swords that combine into one.

A new limited job is coming out latter part of 7.x

Cool concept, garbage awful name. Will probly enjoy it since they said its a high weave high skill cap job, remains to be seen if the skill cap actually holds up tho considering summoner and reaper...

Name is weird but the job sounds very interesting, not the judge but close enough.

Sword were indeed hidden to avoid spoilers, only thing I find cheap in the trailer.
But I'm happy it's not corsair.

Well TMNT makes sense now, Leonardo dual-wields swords. Whats funny to me is Viper is...literally Anime Edward Kenway from AC4 with some added Darth Maul action. The whole hood being up throughout, Black Flag's theme played in my head.

Ngl I am a bit disappointed it wasn't Corsair, but I'm keeping an open mind.
