In any case that would be the smart thing to do. You don't want to shift the balance even further when the roles that make up half of the team only have 8/19 jobs currently. Having tank/dps followed by healer/dps each expansion would be sustainable.

Probably would be smarter sure, but I don't know if Square is capable of that at this point. Apparently they're already at a block for how to make more healers... honestly we'll probably just get one job per expansion now.

Main character Scion*

We have minor scions that we don't adventure with that still have the same jobs they've had since ARR. If you include Lyse, then she'd also be the exception so far too.

I could see her going to a new caster Job

I think Krile will be going caster for sure.

She didnt go through a Job Change tho, she was always a Monk....or Pugilist.
The idea is that the mentioned characters went through an Evolution, and showcased the New Jobs.
I think to a Degree Thancred also did Rouge / Ninja.

Thancred started as a gladiator wielding a dagger, because rogue/ninja didn't exist yet. Then when those were added, he picked up a second dagger. He kept up with that until Shadowbringers, where he became a gunbreaker, although he still uses some ninja tricks (bring him to Dohn Mheg and he'll use Shukuchi to skip the tightrope segment of the final boss.....which players can't do, but hey).

Is she REALLY a Scion though?
I like to joke about that because she was under a false name and was only there because of Papolymo.

Regardless of name or why she was there, Yda/Lyse was recognized as a Scion by the rest of the group, until she left after Stormblood to help in Ala Mhigo.

Yeah, almost every NPC has a secret trick that we don't have access to. Nero use some crazy skills on the last boss of Role Quest. Fourchenault has a beautiful group mitigation as Sage.
