I might be reading too into it, but I am almost certain they were joking about the fact that Spellblade in FFT:A2 is literally just Red Mage but melee.

And as someone who still to this day plays the game regularly(currently doing an all Blue Mage Run with a Luso named..Bluso), it seriously is just Melee Red Mage with a Blue coat

Wait, fam...a "Magic Melee" category could avoid that issue. Each DPS category would have three jobs.
