Hopefully never. There's too much solo content already in this game. If you want a pure solo experience go play a single player game.

have to agree on this. there is no way that they could implement this and have "any class" able to do it. if they did, then the endless round of "its too haaaaaard, nerf it" at which point it loses the entire "ultimate" meaning.
its an mmo and really, have to draw the line at some point, too much solo already and thats increasing.
Just remove the "afk" solocontent like island sanctuaries. The problem is that if you want something to do solo you can only do boring stuff and if you want group stuff there is only savage/ultimate and no midcore content. The solo/group content needs to be balanced better. More midcore content for group, more challenging content for solo.

I forgot about blue mage, but there was actually one fight that required me to learn it like I would extreme or savage. There was no getting around the fact that it had a sequence of mechanics and I just had to know they are coming and deal with them and that required practice to get it into muscle memory. Unlike extreme and savage, nobody could carry me through any of it. The "pressure is all on you" was the greatest part about it.
But obviously most of those blue mage fights are easy. If they add more to it then maybe it would become the sort of contender on the list of solo activities like deep dungeons or duels. We are getting some more in one of the next patches, I think, so hopefully they are not a joke.
ESO had (don’t know if they nerfed it or removed it) maelstrom arena, you could do the normal version and the veteran one, it was a lot of fun to do on your own! Hm I start to miss eso but characters look like moist buttoms, pretty nature though…

Masked Carnivale is basically ultimate for solo players.
The problem with Deep Dungeons is that you have to grind the lower levels every time before getting to the harder content and if you dc or die you have to start the low level grind all over again. Fighting bosses is also a small part of them.
Variant dungeons are too easy and criterion dungeons and above require a party and they’re pretty much dead content after a few weeks making it hard to find a party.
A series of hardcore solo challenges that you could tackle whenever you want on different jobs would be nice to have. It could even help improve the player base.
Masked Carnival is the closest thing we have to that but it’s for a special job only.
