Request: Matte versions of the Abyssos and Anabaseios armour

I can still think a thing isn't worth doing while asking for something else.

Also, asking them to redesign a game system to do something more complicated than it currently does, isn't necessarily equal with taking an existing item and turning off the fire effects. Even more if they done it at the beginning when they were creating the items in the first place and needed to make two versions. They've done raid gear with these un removable sparkles twice in a row now and I'd rather they at least reconsider it for next time.

I really liked the healer robe from last tier (it wasn't white, shocker)

If SE had any common sense to them, they'd have made the normal mode gear dyeable, and the savage gear have the extra VFX, that way if we want the regular gear with no fire, we just glam the normal mode gear over the savage pieces. Alternatively, SE could look into making certain sets have VFX as a 'set effect', so if you equip/glam the full normal mode set, you get the VFX, same with Savage set. But if you were to, for example, glam the normal mode boots onto the Savage rest-of-the-set, the set effect gets disabled and you have the appearance of the full set, but without the VFX

Also, instead of a huge ugly ring of fire behind them, I think the Tank/DRG sets would have been better if the trim of the cape was the part that had the fire (leaving ember vfx floating in the air behind as you move), that way if you do EG Primal Rend, you'd see a trail of embers arcing through the air where you just were

I just hate the big ring it looks so goofy

That doesn't sound like a useful way to go about it. It would stop you from being able to mix and match the effects with other outfits.

Recently been diving into Wakfu at a friends suggestion and first thing that comes to mind is how the Auras work there

An interesting approach XIV could take is exactly that, Auras that appear on your character similar to how you pick a title. Unlock the Abyssos ring from Savage and have it dye to your chestpiece color, get a swimming group of transparent fish around you from the Big Fish title, the decievers diamonds or the floating souls from the variant dungeons, and so on

They could tie most of the effects behind already-existing archievements, and then grab them on Jonathas as a consumable

I know for a group people, Auras would be a bit "over the top" in terms of clutter for the screen, so a Toggle to hide them (like how we can hide titles) would be needed as well

Also... it would be funny to get an aura that just puts a sprout on top of your head
