Let us solo with our companions

You guys should read my post on Moogle Companions. I mean... lets be honest here, Moogles would make for way better battle companions than chocobos. Not to mention a plethora of many other helpful systems. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...gle-Companions

I'm still all about customizing my own chocobo though.

This is actually how chocobos are going to behave, btw. Way back they had said that Chocobos get added to the party list so 2 people with 2 chocobos is a 4 person party and you get the light party bonus, for example. We're apparently getting some gambit-type system to control them too so they should be useful for quite a number of situations.

Although I do like the idea of using chocobos in battle.

I would rather have may companion with me. During the story quests I have grown fond of my companion.
I even named her Kalokoko after my adventuring fellow in FFXI and used a similar looking companion.

It would be a shame to lose them. We've been through so much together.
