If they do a lotto next FF they should allow for FC members to register together so either they all get tickets or they don't. I've seen conventions do group registrations so, it shouldn't be 'that' hard to pull off.

I prefer they kept it as equitable as possible and not subject to conditions of say FC membership as then you are allowing a group to have an advantage above individuals who may not even belong to an FC. There shouldn't be any conditions that allow groups or individuals to have an advantage over others that simply isn't fair. I am hoping that random is random and if so I am happy.

I received that after I put my info in for the lotto.

I think for the email situation for "did I win or not and why is it the 2nd and not the 3rd wtf" happening, it was because it was the 3rd... in Japan. That's the only true answer I can think of for that.

While I don't disagree fully, by not taking FCs into consideration you will (probably) end up with a lot of orphan tickets, which just seems messy to me. I know we have huge FCs out there and that could really mess something up. But some level of "group" registration would be nice. So maybe not FC members specifically, but allow a point person to register up to a certain amount of players and they would win together. Put a cap on it (5 other names), but at least try to support players who are going to enjoy time with specific other players

One question I do have is that if there is this much interest in the presale, why even have a general sale? It seems like instead of holding them back, they could have made them all available to those who were interested in the presale.

I still think it is gatekeeping and unfair on individuals so I stick with a no thanks, no matter how you slice the cake people miss out and I would quite like FC level meetups myself but I wouldn't want anyone being disadvantaged. I suppose a way forward is for them to increase the number of fanfests being held or theme them somehow, so that demand and the types of events people want are satisfied somehow.

I think they'd really struggle to satisfy the demand. There are far more players interested than they could reasonable put on events for I'd reckon.

I will say, it's not a complete deal breaker for meetups if not everyone gets a ticket.
Treat it like a holiday and go spend a long weekend in Vegas or London.

There will be a small number of tickets available on overflow from the sheer fact that some people put in their names for the lottery, with the intent to sell them to FC members, only to discover they cannot be resold in that manner.

For us east coasters, Otakon is happening the same weekend, and I would suggest maybe we try to organize a XIV meet up there.

Maybe not resell exactly but everyone who got invited is entitled to a +1 they can buy for, so I'm sure people would be more than interested in buying any available +1 spots that people would be willing to offer (we did that at previous fanfests too), a lot of groups would like to fill-in gaps for their friends (myself included, hit me up if you have a +1 available you're not buying)
