If I could own and decorate an instanced large plot sans neighbors, I'd be perfectly content with that, and at most I would go for a ward plot when it became available. I agree, personally I don't care about second class or anything I just want to own and design a house to create depth and individuality through artistic expression like every other good MMO

I think the hardest thing would be reconstructing the residential districts to potentially have mansions in every plot. Deeds idea I got from forming a FC. The IP and upgrading the house I got from Island Sanctuary. Tools are already in place SE just needs to use them.

They'd have to alter the geometry of the land a little to expand it, but this would be preferable too. I just think that under the current ward system, its always bound to be in demand and scarce. As in, the second you do something like this, those previously undesirable small plots will sell out, and everyone will be fighting over everything because nothing will be available. It's kind of hard to judge when it doesn't function like the above, though.

In any case, I think they've previously complained about the decoration limit in each ward being a limiting factor, which is why I usually say "Just let people pick the interior size." Even then, I don't totally buy the decoration complaint though, because like I've said before, apartments are unrestricted, and each character can own two. If the developers can't limit this, they must not have considered it a problem in the first place. Granted, the deco count per ward probably exceeds 400.

I'd love for them to do this. I know it's annoying to reconstruct each zone but it would be bananas good. You should also be able to upgrade apartment interior to large because magic. We have flying bears and I can hold several houses in my inventory, lemme expand my apartment floor space. ;o;

If this were true, you would own a house by now as there are plenty of new servers with a plethora of houses STILL available.

I would be better to terminate housing entirely into the ground... and keep it like you got FC entrances at the GC you registered it at, it would remove a tonnes of ressources that is required to run these wards that could be used on something else, like better Aetheryte/World Transfer system, so you don't have to sit in a +50 queu all the time.

All people do is to complain, and then someone who just made an account at 2023 comes in saying has been playing MMOs for 20 years and calling judgement on a game the person barely has started on.

If housing is = MMO to you, you can find a better game for your needs out there for sure.

it's not just elite players. It's people having alts on different worlds and bidding there as well to own multiple houses per datacenter.

There’s no way SE will reconstruct the existing wards, because there are players and FCs who have been living there for 10 years already, those houses they know their neighbors, there are RP places built around neigborhoods, communities built by the current neighborhoods, etc etc. They will not bulldoze what’s currently existing.

I think the best chance is for them is to implement something completely new and separate to the ward system. I really thought Island Sanctuary was supposed to be that system, a private housing. Don’t know why they didn’t use that route.
