It is the repeated statement of the devs that new players see these cutscenes ingame at the time in instance. It is not your call to tell new players what they may or may not see based on your "convenience".

Either accept the time required or dont queue.

Even still, I think most people would wait for CS if someone is in one. Especially in groups of 4 rather than 8. It'd be really nice for MSQ runs where everyone has been through it at least once too.

At the least being able to skip them should be offered if everyone has cleared the duty before.

The xp you get for these is based on the time put in and skipping cutscenes isn't part of the deal. They redesigned the entire MS encounters you can ask for it but don't hold our breath it's not going to happen imo. They are pretty much fine as they are now and much better than they were before.

It honestly doesn't feel that balanced to me, at least if you compare the rewards between the duties in MSQ roulette, but that's fair.

Absolutely correct.

It's a well-known fact that 90% of FFXIV's gameplay comes from the story and the cutscenes. Without those, the game would have little purpose to exist. This isn't like WoW where you have more gameplay than story. In FFXIV, the story IS the gameplay. Think of it like FFXIII. Would you have any game left if you skipped cutscenes? We all knew what we were getting into when buying FFXIV. I loved FFXIII, personally, so FFXIV was a natural fit. I don't even have to do much work, I can sit back and watch the movies. That's the kind of game I enjoy. It's basically Netflix but without the trash. Want to mash buttons and kill bosses? Go to the other MMO.

Same tbh. IMO MSQ roulette should have all dungeons required for story progression. Put all other dungeons in an "Optional Dungeon Roulette" and give it the same bonus exp we have now just for running leveling. Makes the DF all nice and clean, and makes it so all dungeons can and will be ran.

Because Prae and castrum have the cutscenes throughout the dungeons, while other "MSQ" dungeons do not.

if i do prae or castrum and not one of us is new and we've done the instance over 100 times, we should be able to skip. we literally have a flag to show someone is/is not new.

I'm ok with that if EXP and rewards are reduced to reflect the time difference.

I mean if it has a barrier, I think it's fine to just make it skippable. It's not like players can walk past the barrier and pull the boss after skipping it.
