I think it might have been best to replace the entire song once you cleared the credits. Go back to something "spacey" and lyric-free but less ominous. It would make sense from a lore perspective, I think – that song built up and came from your friends' sacrifices, a message from them to you as they persisted intangibly in the aether, but now they are restored to their bodies and safely home.

There's certainly a joy in just taking to the sky and soaring as the song plays unobstructed, but it's not right for anything else.

It doesn't bother me too terrible much since I often mute the game and listen to other stuff, but I do occasionally like to turn on the sound for cutscenes or just sometimes to listen to the games soundtrack.
