Rez Macro Broke?

actually, the cast will be visible in the party list.. on the right side of the castbar there is a number. it shows which partymember is targeted

Even with a macro, it breaks in alliance raids as other parties cannot see this (and while you normaly should focus on your own, if a diffirent party is struggling, and yours isnt, assisting them can help a lot).

I think the only good solution would be if anyone that has a raise cast on them, instantly gets an icon to indicate this. It wont prevent 2 people instacasting a raise there (which can happen anyway due to lag), but it at least wont disrupt slower raise casts and waste a lot of time that way.

But on another note. Don't use a Rez macro. Even if you're not trying to merge SwiftCast + Rez together in a single macro button, the one line notification of "Player X has been res'd" gets old really fast, no matter how witty you make it.

Plus any other healers/rdm/smn on your team can usually tell when someone's being raised. If a player on your team is knocked out and you see or hear a swiftcast go on, mainly on your healers then you can be certain that someone's getting res'd. That also goes for you too though.

Disagree. They are helpful. VERY helpful. The number of times simply having the name of who I'm raising be in chat for my coheal and other rez able party members to see save pulls is far too vast to say they don't help. Sorry, but you're dead wrong.

If your argument is that the text is annoying and spamming the chat than i will say: i rather have those lines than those walls of moogles. Love it when i'm doing Frontlines and someone decides to post some of these in alli chat. Yeah sure i WANTED to have to scroll to see the shoutout.

How did this suddenly turn from, 'My rez macro isn't working' to discussions about adding text to a macro? How about we please stay on topic... because I am curious, as clearly is the OP, as to WHY her rez macro isn't working. Clearly she stated that even making a new one isn't working either, so is anyone else having a similar problem with their rez macro?!? If not, then please post your rez macro to possibly help the OP. As a returning player, I'd like to know if something isn't working before even trying it.

I've seen plenty of people using rez macros and they all seem to work fine (even today). In order to help the OP we need to know what their Macro is trying to do (posting the actual macro text would be very useful).

It would help if OP would come back and post the macro so that people can look at it. Without seeing the macro, we can’t offer assistance on why it might be misfiring. Mine work fine and have remained unchanged since HW. So unless they’ve changed a line of macro text, I cannot think of a reason why it’s not working.

The topic changed because someone went on a rambling tangent about raise macros and chat box messages. People just responded to that since we’re waiting for more input from the OP.

If it works the same as reporting insults or wintraders in CC why bother? Nothing ever happens to these players.

Edit: Back to main topic: Neither Verriase nor Swiftcase changed in the last patch. Did you not play this job for a while? Does the swiftcase happen? Is your Macro using mouse over (<mo>) or not? If you use mouse over it will still priorize a target if you have 1 selected. So untarget with escape before that. Did you turn macro errors off? I know there is a macro command but maybe you globally turned them off somehow. If you please turn them back on. And of course: please post your macro. Thanks :)

I never bother with names and I find rez macros pretty useless. To me everyone is a number with an abbreviated name and the party list already contains all the information you need in one place. I find it faster to process than reading the chat with the name of the target.
