I agree! If it only had different models according to the weapon, it could have more aesthetic value.
I'd also go on a tangent to ask for the same for BRD's quivers. There's not even an animation drawing the arrow from the quiver!... The character acts as if they were holding an arrow beforehand.
I like quivers, but sometimes they clip even through sheathed bows, which can be really annoying, plus some quivers are blatantly ugly.

This is one of the main things stopping me from really getting into Machinist. I love the job and how it plays, but it completely ruins certain looks and forces a specific vibe. Why have that imposed limitation when basically all other jobs have complete freedom in their entire aesthetics.
Same goes for AST, the main weapon looks incredible but the card holder ruins outfits. Please make the both of these toggleable!

I love Machinist but that lunchbox gets in the way of a lot of the glams I have for it. And as the OP mentioned, you barely interact with it so it just feels like it's just there. No other job has something so intrusive so why should Machinist get stuck with it?

As much as I don't like the lunch box, it plays into the fantasy of being a machinist even though our toolkit isn't really that mech related.
If they took it out or toggle it.. its more like playing a gunner, which I ALSO don't mind.
I hope they rework mch soon, even a minor change would be welcome.

I think the old reload animation looks waaaay better for Reassemble as well. It even makes more sense, you're loading an extra potent shot instead of just... bonking your weapon with a wrench.

It really should either just be removed/option to hide or actually match it aesthetically to the gun. It's almost jarring to see an "ancient" weapon or a "fairy" weapon for it to have the same lunchbox

Yeah, I would play MCH more often if I could hide the lunchbox! It clips with my arm and glam. Yuck!
