I said it once and I'll say it again, stop turning every single system in the game into a baby version or a spreadsheet for convenience's sake. I will die on this hill. lol

They could at least put in the growth days tbh :P Stardew does that, doesn't really make the game harder or easier either way. What difficulty is there by having to guess the time lol?
I don't understand why this and gatherer timers don't exist but i can look up when my retainers will return from anywhere
You can have the engaging farming system in Islands. You're campaigning for the engaging content of Click Plant Once A Day.
Having a built-in timer be displayed is apparently making the game play itself. I learn something new everyday
Not only do plants take different amounts of time to grow (anywhere from 1-10 days), but they also have different amounts of time before they turn purple and then die (24, 36 and 48 hours I've seen, and 'never' if you count the 1-day plants that can't turn purple under any circumstance).
And nothing says you have to plant everything all at the same time either.
So someone with a mansion would potentially need 72 different timers: for each of the 24 plots, time to harvest if constantly watered, time to purple, and time to death.
SE totally *could* do this, but it probably makes more sense to just check yourself once a day, since you can see their status as soon as you take the (heavily discounted) teleport to your own home.
Just tend your plants first thing after logging in. Ok some will be overtended but there is negative effect from that.
I would like some kind of visual confirmation that a plant has been tended recently because on occasion i have forgotten/skipped to tend one plant or plot
Been a long time since I had a garden in FFXIV.
But since each garden can have multiple items growing it would require a timer for each of them.
I'm sure that's why we don't have one, would be too many timers as each would need one.
I could however be wrong, but that's my understanding on how a garden works, can plant between 1-.. whatever number the cap is.
