Content Devs =/= Glamour Devs. They can work at same time :)

As a crossover event SE might not be allowed to change it even if they wanted to.
Simple, because there has been no work involved.
Only thing they did was renew the license/contracts with the GARO guys, and then just copy, paste.
Remove genderlock is actually involving a lot of manpower, & resources you're asking a lot from this indie company.
Sarcasm aside, personally I'm more a fan of 'uniqueness', but I do know it's 2022 and the majority in the world wants everything to be the same so...
Maybe they will change it but I wouldn't put my hopes up too much.
As the guy above me posted I'd like more work involved in the content itself as well but I also know that the people working on the clothes are not the same as quest designers, battle content designers, etc so there's that.
I think simply making stuff from genderlock to not genderlock is very easy if you are an indie company or small company, but in big company? All decision have to be made through some quality assurance and some inspection or perhaps yoshi P himself, most content in the game have to be known or inspected directly by Yoshi P to certain extent, he is very detailed and micro managing the game development, i dont think unlocking gender restriction of garou armor were ever mentioned by yoshi P himself, so they probably have no plan to work on that from the very beginning i assume
I wish I could wear the healer butterfly tiara thingy uwu
Is that a good thread?
Yes, why is it still genderlocked after adapting so many pieces but not the Garo gear when the Garo event is back?
I want the MCH male outfit, I'm not a fan of dress.
Most of the time when devs don't separate gear they just make one version for male characters then copy paste it on female characters, which imo is usually boring there's quite a lot of games I just won't play because I don't like any of the gear at all.
It's cheaper and easier, and guys are generally more offended by feminine stuff too it's easier to upset people who play male characters so it's seen as a safer bet.
Yoshi P said in one of the QnA for Endwalker that they want to make different gear because he knows there are a lot of people who want it, sure just having them for both would be ideal I guess but as a game dev you have to prioritize and in the end of the day most people want conventional stuff.
This is a very niche issue very few people would even use the other versions as can be seen with the gear that has been unlocked.
Glam is content.
They also reworked a ton of dungeons and MSQ in ARR, new Alliance Raid, new MSQ and dungeon, new PvP Rework and housing ( yes there were issues we get it.......... ), Hildebrand, new gear, new Trials + Extreme and mount etc.
This was a pretty big patch.
Edit: Also the Adventure Plates.
Agree, i'm not a big fan of some female set and wish i could wear the male version !
Same. Some of the female hairstyle versions for bought hairstyles are also better and I want them.
