This is exactly what SE does though. The steps to previous relics are always nerfed and shortened to make it easier to get after they've been out for a while, so players can catch up. Savages get easier from Echo being added to them and the restrictions on loot being lifted. Everything is slowly made easier to obtain so players can catch up without needing to be on the cutting edge all the time.

Do you honestly think half the people posting are going to actively use their housing plot or just make something then rarely visit it ever again loke so many plots in the older districts? If they have been laying for years then they would have a house. Simple as that. Who are you to say they won't use their houses often? Not everyone uses their homes for RP, sure, but it doesn't mean people actively abandon it. Plenty of people want their own place to decorate, hang out in, craft and hide in, ect.

I don't get why you are against every other system other than the fact that you clicked for hours getting your house and the privilege of having a house over others feels nice.

Since when did FF14 work like other games? What other game launches fails then turns it around and becomes successful? Housing is a luxury like relic weapons and extreme raids and savages. I'm all for the lottery system. It's what people wanted. One hiccup and everyone is over reacting. My expectation for islands is gardening. That's it. That's pretty low expectations compared to some of the ideas going around. I'm sorry my view differs. I have read everyone else's views yet when I shared a different view I get toxic replies and insulted? I see your points if they do do instanced housing I'll accept it and move on. I agree it was very unhealthy clicking that placard and I have nightmares about it still.

To sum it up. Lottery system good (after fixing hiccups which they said will take 3 to 5 days)
The demolishon timer should be turned on and more places will open. I don't agree with the ward segregation between fc and private but I get why it was done.

Infact I would argue that you'd be hard pressed to find anything this game does thats 100% original and cannot be found in another MMO.

Those who didn't wait well. I'm sure Yoshi or someone else will have a fix so that might take a longer time.

Seems like you weren't patient enough to read the entire update on the housing issue. The lottery data will include the players who already chose to get their gil refunded.

Never did I use the word ""immersive""

Never did I say FF14 was completely unique compared to other games but I do believe their player base is kinder the most other games.

I disagree with you about the RP community. Just because you apparently don't like them or want to see them gone from your "So we need Instanced housing then, got it." Comment doesn't mean they way you play the game is better then others.

You could be more respectful when others share a different view then yours rather then being rude.

We all pay the same sub yes. 100% agree. What I don't see if anyone asking about demolition timers since that would add more plots. Lottery good. Don't agree with instanced housing outside of appartments.

It's already been stated by the devs: "FFXIV wouldn't exist without WoW" (not direct quote, but you get the gist). Plenty of MMOs are also successful and gasp.. have working housing! Even games that aren't as big and successful as XIV, still have adequate housing! So where's the excuse? Yes, XIV being successful after a failed launch is huge - but I don't give a hoot if the systems currently in place are not working as well as they should be and the developers have dug their heels in because "well we want a community!" whilst at the same time, making the game more single player anyways.

One thing you have to understand is that the reaction isn't over "one hiccup". The reaction is because the housing system is broken, limited, and rampant with RMT while SE puts in systems with loopholes that can be abused for years. They make job changes and strip away complexity for years. They leave broken things broken. They tell everyone "well, go get an apartment" when they are clearer inferior and lesser to houses. Sorry, but they are. This reaction is YEARS of people being frustrated with SE's lack of care. We pay a sub for this game, we should be able to enjoy the features it advertises. Yet here we are.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought apartments and even FC rooms have a limit to them. In which case they aren't instance for everyone.
