We need better communication on Housing

no one is saying to delete wards completely all we agree on is that everyone deserves to have their own house in a private or shared space they can let FCs keep the ward system not very many people would complain about it except the very few who think its an ok living space when really its just empty most the times rarely do you see your neighbors anyways they are all bust afking in a city or hub or they're busy doing other things ingame that dont require that they use their plot.
now if they can add a newer system exclusively for single player purchase and ownership that includes all the same features of ward housing THEN people will be satisfied and never ask or complain again so long as the new system gets updates in the same manner as wards do.
what we say when we want "instance" housing is we want private land for everyone to own not just be locked to the privileged few who just happened to get lucky or cheated their way to get it etc

This is just chasing the problem rather than addressing it directly.

I feel like saying things on the forums only gets us so far, it would be great if more content creators would speak openly about all the housing issues on their streams since we have confirmation via media tour that the devs do watch them. I've seen so many wonderful and great suggestions on here and it feels like it's hardly talked about elsewhere. (unless I'm just not seeing it lol)

one of my best friends just so happens to be a content creator for ffxiv but he's not big league sadly since he doesnt revolve his life around it he's made alot of good points though that have actually been listened too by whoever in may be in Yoshida's media/press team. some things he suggested awhile back about content longevity got listened too and the gold saucer things he brought up too got listed as feedback for the development team.

One of two things is happening:

1. The team has been secretly working on a total Housing system overhaul while also working to implement the current system as best they can, much like they did with the transition from 1.0 to 2.0, which will likely be done during the upcoming graphics overhaul.

2. Nothing.

We'll see which is which. I'm going to be pissed about the lack on information/communication either way.

SE is still a lot more communicative than some of the other MMOs out there.

Most game developers have learned not to release too much information too soon. Players have a way of taking what is shared and running wild with it as they try to convince themselves its their secret dream content. Look at what's already happening with Island Sanctuary. Some players are convinced that it's a replacement for both personal houses and gardening despite YoshiP asking players to lower expectations because it's nothing like posted speculation.

There's just no winning when it comes to dealing with some players. Good faith efforts will never be good enough.

Kind of? The place they lack in is responding to feedback, they put together their Directs and talk about what they want to talk about and not much else. They tend to handpick questions that only pertain to things they already planned to do

"My new SO doesn't beat me as much my exes did" is pretty terrible.
This is not, nor ever has been, a good faith effort.
If it is, it's a good faith effort in the vein of "I'll try not to crap on your desk on Tuesdays anymore." Then doing it anyway.

that is due to the fact apartments are a vastly inferior option to even the smallest home.

less overall space, no yard, no gardening, no outdoor furniture.
